Ask HN: How to show HN a post without being annoying?

I’d suggest to just post it rather than overthinking the submission. There’s no “being annoying”, if people do not think it’s interesting they don’t upvote.

If you’re a young maker a few sentences on your motivation to build the thing, who you are, etc. will make it more interesting.

Also, you can start the discussion with 1-2 questions in your post, to maximize the value of input from the HN community.

Also, I'd like as many people to try it out as possible. Any tips from people who have done well in the past on making it more engaging as well?
