Ask HN: Blog post about first months at a new job as a software engineer

I'm trying to find an old blog post that detailed the author's thoughts on what they do in their first few months at a new organization as a senior software engineer.

They mention things like resisting the urge to immediately start fixing things and instead they recommend you listen to your new coworkers pain points. They go on to recommend ways to ensure that its really a pain point, propose a change and get buy in, etc.

does anyone remember who might have written something like this?

I thought it might have been https://rachelbythebay.com/ or https://jvns.ca/ but I can't find anything like it on either one.
