Show HN: Convert audio and video to accurate text with timestamps
rapidtranscribe.com
I'm excited to introduce RapidTranscribe, an AI-powered transcription service designed to save you time and boost productivity.
Personal Story:
I often watch lectures on YouTube and recordings from various conferences, usually long files that can be hours or even dozens of hours in length. I’m typically interested in specific moments within these recordings and end up skipping through most of the content. I find it more convenient and faster to read than to listen, and I often want to input the text of these recordings into a language model to ask specific questions. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
I've tried around 50 different transcription services, but almost all of them failed to meet my needs in terms of price or quality for my usage (which is around 50-150 hours per month). I wondered why these services were either too expensive or not quite suitable for my needs, and I realized I could create something better for myself and others.
