Hi everyone! My name is Matt and I am a senior in high school and made this website, along with my classmate Kaustubh, to play chess against GPT-4. I decided to make this project because every time that I played GPT-4 in chess, it would either consistently make illegal or impossible moves, or just suck. This model utilizes some clever prompt engineering (we trained GPT to generate precise prompts off of GM games) in order to completely eliminate any illegal moves, and have GPT-4 play at a decently high ELO. IN addition, we have everything nicely formatted in one webpage and also have integrated some other features such as a move log, move counter, and a chat function that calls GPT-4.
