Show HN: Taucoder – A Better JPEG Encoder

Hello, HN!

I'm Vidu, a fullstack dev with extensive past experience in image and video coding. I wrote Taucoder, an image encoding service, in my spare time for fun and possibly some profit? At the core of taucoder is a novel encoder that outperforms state-of-the art JPEG encoders by an average 10-18% VMAF BD-rate (see evaluation: https://taucoder.com/doc/evaluation.html)

Thank you for your feedback. I'm in GMT+11 so might not reply immediately.
