Seeking Feedback: Key Features for Large File Transfer Services

Personally, when I upload larger files, mainly zips/7zs, onto the cloud, they tend to be important files like old family photos, or files for college/work.

In this case, I'd prefer that the service offers longevity (for an archive that's self-explanatory) and where the company is located.

Especially for deeply personal files, I pay attention to whether the company is located in a 9 eyes country, russia, or china. I'm going into security so it's a big concern for my personal files, random file x or y not really. Besides that, the rest is fine.

Most services nowadays have good enough down/up speeds, ui design, etc. so I don't notice too much unless it's quite obviously crap.

Hello HN community,

I'm currently conducting research for SendGB, an Estonia-based file transfer service, and would love to hear your insights. When choosing a service for transferring large files, which feature is most important to you?

Upload and download speeds? A captivating and user-friendly design? A wide range of functional features? The longevity of the service (i.e., how long it has been in operation)? Reviews and ratings on Google or other platforms? The country where the service is based (for instance, a preference for an American company)?

Your feedback and experiences can provide invaluable insights for us. Thank you in advance for your time and recommendations!
