Also, Republicans have made it a habit to phrase their statements as jokes so as to provide plausible deniability of their having made the statement. It's been going on for so long it's foolish to continue falling for it. Republican "jokes" are now taken seriously. They cry about it, but I've noticed they haven't stopped doing it. Gee, I wonder why?
