SpaceX Pitches NASA on 'Marslink,' a Version of Starlink for the Red Planet

Development of starlink wasn't just about developing it once, it was also about integrating starship and the satellite technology to enable quick to spin up global networks around planets, very forward looking. Think of how hard it was to lay all the cables that built up the first set of global networks, and how easy star link was in comparison once the technology matured. Now it can be done on any planet mostly regardless of terrain, you can spin one up on the moon within a couple of years. Pretty exciting.
