How is Elon going to juggle this, CEO x2, stimulants, fatherhood, social media, … ?

As if he cares about being a father.

But for the rest: more stimulants/ketamine binges.

I think that's a bit off. He seems to care very much about being a father or at the very least he likes to hang with his kids. He carries one of his young sons absolutely everywhere with him.

Virtually all of Elon's children and mothers hate him with a passion. I'm much more inclined to trust them on the topic of fatherhood as opposed to random people on the internet who treat Elon like Jesus Christ.

And he called another very-much-living one dead. Father of the year, for sure.

The interesting question is how this will affect Tesla. Will Musk continue as the CEO, or will he step down? I would assume that every other major shareholder and leader hopes he will step down.

Once you become a top-level politician, that is your primary identity. Everything else you do becomes a side business. If Musk remains the CEO, everyone doing business with Tesla understands that they are dealing with a US government official. That's going to be a big business risk, especially outside the US.

This department is an outside advisory group basically. I don’t think it is a real government agency because that would require congressional action.

It seems like this would be very good for business, especially considering the billions in revenue Tesla already earns from the u.s. government. If I were a Tesla competitor I would be worried.

He will finally be able to get speedy spaceship launch approvals from the FAA now!

and everyone else too

This is a title grant to keep Musk happy. Musk gets to meme about it while being held to no actual metrics, Trump gets to keep Musk content to chase snipes around the garden.

Musk is being played for a fool and he doesn't see it. He's being treated the same way you treat a 5 year old who needs to be kept busy, lol.

Well, that's the _good_ possibility...

It's literally just a title. There's no "Dept" being created here. He's going to report to some other existing dept and no one will listen to him, lol.

Agreed because it's the same ballpit Ramaswamy was thrown into.

Well, Trump also picked Marco Rubio for State… so I am not exactly thinking that this administration will stop spending. A few minor cuts maybe, just enough to allow MAGA types to say Trump “kept his promises.”
