Sell Chrome to end search monopoly, Google told

I would expect with the judiciary we have now, the expectation is that it will sell to Microsoft who have built Edge on top of blink/v8. My frustration with this is that Microsoft faced this in Europe with IE at the turn of the century and we did nothing to stop it in the US now it feels like we want them to monopolize browser pick up Google's search scraps and monopolize PC OSes too without any repercussion. While Google can't have two of the 3. Seriously, what sexual favors did they provide to keep dodging this for 50 years? Is it okay for them because they're not always successful? Or because their founders were white Americans?

They mentioned Google needs to sell Chrome. This is distinct from Alphabet.

So in theory, Alphabet could create Chrome LLC and it could acquire the Chrome browser (not sure about ChromeOS) from Google.

Same would apply to Android.

It's unlikely that Chrome would be available to the private market.
