In 2025 Russian Telegram users enjoy more freedom than European

Reminds me of an old joke, slightly modernized.

An American and a Russian are talking about the comparative freedoms of both countries, with the American insisting that Americans have more freedom: "I can go on TV, or on Twitter, or on Youtube, and criticize President Biden!"

The Russian responds: "My friend, Russians have just as much freedom! We are also free to go on TV, or on Twitter, or on Youtube and criticize President Biden as well!"

Wait, isn't Pavel Durov, that author of this tweet, also the CEO of Telegram? If so, this tweet may just be marketing.
