Ask HN: What's your top-tier reading with well-written humor?

I just started posting a “humor” short story series i’m doing almost daily on tiktok and soon substack —

It’s titled — Big City, Short Story

Not saying it’s top-tier by any means but the writing style is designed to be funny, while being satire, in a ‘Pop Art’ / Almost Dr. Seussian sense.

Terry Pratchett's Disc World comes to mind. It's not generally exuberant, forced humor with maximum-impact punchlines, but more the laid-back, jolly sort. It also has a big fan following.

Mark Twain's nonfiction?
