Can someone give me an invite. I am in Europe and I don't know anyone who has an account to vouch for me

It's invite only? Huh, well that's that then.

I'm in a similar boat. Maybe Lobsters hasn't made headway across the Atlantic yet?

Ironic, since .rs is the TLD for the Republic of Serbia.

Got you an invite :)

Thanks you, I have it at last! Been watching from the sidelines for 10 years!

Now if you want to pay it forward, I am in the same situation…

If you list your email publicly (here or on your profile) or email me directly I can invite you. Same goes for anyone else reading, provided you pass the vibe check

It's my hn user at gmail... sorry

Welcome!

They block Brave browser cos of some crypto beef.

But Brave has some dank ad-blocking fu. Hard to resist.

For context: https://github.com/lobsters/lobsters-ansible/issues/45

It's pretty disgusting behaviour by Brave.

I'm sure they have a compelling case against buying into their crypto model, which I don't use at all.

I only use it because it's a highly effective ad blocking browser.

Give me a better ad blocker and I'll check it out.

Brave's ad blocker is as effective as uBlock Origin, considering they use the same blocklists and techniques to block ads. Firefox + uBlock Origin will give you an equivalent experience without all the grifting.

I'll check it out. Thanks!
