Trump Orders JFK, RFK, MLK Assassination Documents Released

bloomberg.com

I feel like it's fair to assume the documents should contain something fairly scandalous if they're real. Is there another reason they wouldn't have been released earlier given the public interest?

The boring reason would be that the withheld disclosures contribute nothing new at all to public understanding and simply obscure irrelevant tangential details like adjacent programs, individual names and addresses for non-key figures, etc

There's a theory that one of the secret service agents accidentally discharged their rifle in a panic, killing JFK. The continued cover was to avoid embarrassment, but also avoid delusional maniacs from murdering them or their family.

Fascinating. We can only wonder what new stuff will be gleaned

I doubt Trump personally cares about this. He's doing it as a favor for his followers.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. There's no pleasing Trump haters who find fault in everything he does.

What fault do you think GP was finding?

Do you think GP is wrong and that the President is, in fact, deeply invested in this? And if so, why not say it instead of complain weirdly about persecution?

The framing made it seem to me like doing something for ones "followers" is a bad thing. Another word for followers is voters or constituents.

If Trump ran on making pedophilia legal and he did it, would that be "damned if you do, damned if you don't" because people disagree with that promise? Since if not I fail to see how this is about framing when one can dislike Trump as a person and or his policies without it being "framed".

Another word for haters is critics.

>Another word for haters is critics.

When it comes to Trump, these "critics" are long past the point of rationality.

Or can you say what relevance Trump's hand size, mouth shape, hairstyle, or use of bronzer has in relation to politics? The hatred of Donald Trump even extends to Melania or other members of the Trump family (e.g. Invanka and Tiffany) who are found "guilty" by their association with him.

I'm pretty sure Trump's critics don't form a single hive mind. Assuming they all behave the same way and lumping them together is facetious at best.

Yeah his weird conspiracy minded followers are clamoring for this stuff and it's easy enough for him to do.
