Canada's Online Harms Act (Bill C-63) (2024)

While it was generally well received in contrast to other similar bills in the past, it still had flaws. Either way, this bill died with prorogation of parliament in Canada on January 6, 2025.

It could be reintroduced if an amenable government wins the next election, but the current front runner for that election is the Conservative Party of Canada which would be unlikely to implement this law.
