Are we finally realizing the "AI Agents" are complete snake oil? Cron jobs and while loops with non deterministic crappy behavior?

I've found targeted agents work best. Of course this also means I now have ~8 different tools I can choose to search with.

They aren't generic and the output needs to be monitored.

The only one I've found useful so far is Cursor Agent mode, but yes generally agree there's a lot of marketing going on
