Elon Musk Takes Aim at Reddit

This trend of trying to apply "free speach" to everything drives me crazy.
The amendment is only for government laws. And it doesn't protect you from your own actions! If people want to stop using your product because you made a nazi salute at a rally that's your own problem. If you want people to like you, don't act like a teenage incel edge lord. It's kind of easy.
First, Elon's free speech stance is basically whatever he likes/dislikes. Second, Reddit CEO gets a taste of his own medicine.
> If the embargo continues, it could escalate tensions between the government and tech companies.
This last sentence bugs me, where does the government (legally) come into the tensions aspect of this?
In the current despotic US? Musk has been empowered by the President and the courts to do anything he wants, however he wants. He is, effectively, one of the two most powerful people in the US government.
You’re operating on presumption that there’s still rule of law in the US. Elon Musk also has de facto control of the government.
By allowing bots to astroturf at this scale, Reddit is certainly abusing its position of power to influence elections.
If Meta did this, everyone would be outraged and Zuck would be in front of Congress tomorrow. But Reddit gets a free pass? Nonsense.
Edit: I say this as someone with 5 figures invested in Reddit.
