How Americans View Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg

I feel like this is a bit ... incomplete. Almost everyone knows who Zuckerberg is, but he stays out of the limelight for the most part. For the most part I don't go about my day knowing Zuckerberg's opinions on most political matters. Compared to Musk who has thrust himself into a 24-minute news cycle.

Also, we cannot understate how influential the release of The Social Network was, which almost coincided with the mainstream success of the platform. From almost day 1 in the public eye Zuckerberg was cast negatively.

This would be part of why I suspect that Musk won't be long in his job. He's significantly less popular than Trump as it stands. Sooner or later, it seems fairly inevitable that his messing around with the government will produce significant negative consequences; when air traffic control shuts down or tax refunds aren't processed or whatever and the general public gets annoyed, there is no world in which Trump is not going to cast the blame on Musk (it would be a somewhat different story if Musk were independently popular, but as is you could almost read him as being set up as a scapegoat).
