America First Investment Policy

whitehouse.gov

Deliberately misleading name.

This policy blocks investment by China into "strategic sectors" in the USA.

Also blocks third parties from investing based on "political distance to and independence from China".

All law/policy is now up for misuse, by Donald. I don't know to what extent this problem is increased, because I don't know to what extent existing law/policy allows Donald to block economic activity.

As an aside, I'll be attending a support rally in Berlin this early evening, for Ukraine.

Well, only Donald and the AG may interpret the law anyways. Someone should tell the acting President (Musk) though.

Decades ago back in Florida, the smart money would not invest in a real estate deal if Trump was in it.

This kind of intution probably spared a number from certain bankruptcy.

I would expect the smart money overseas not to be very motivated until Trump is way out of the picture on this.

If there is real opportunity now, it can only get better then.
