Hello HN community! I would love to know your software of choice for managing versions of documents, sheets and presentations.

If you love your current software solution, could you please share your experience about it?

I have created a version control software for documents too! Your valuable comments would help me add more features to it.

Office 365 has version history of the documents you edit. It is integrated within Microsoft ecosystem and makes any external version control obsolete.

Your claim of being able to track versions for any file makes it worth trying as office 365 apps only allow version control of their own documents

Thanks! I am a LibreOffice user and I was not aware that Microsoft 365 had version control.

My software renames the file and appends a unique tracking number. So it is possible to track versions of any file without restrictions.
