Show HN: Free AI Resume Builder – Beta Testers Say It's One of the Best
wobo.ai
A while back, I shared how I built a tool that handles job applications from end to end on Reddit. I was blown away by how many job seekers gave it a try and shared their experiences. While a good number of you landed new roles and many received interviews, plenty of others only got rejection emails.
But we also noticed a pattern: a lot of these rejections happened before a recruiter even saw the resume. After digging into this problem, we realized it often came down to ATS issues, missing focus keywords, or not tailoring the resume to the specific job. That’s why we spent the last four months building an AI Resume Builder.
We tested nearly every resume tool out there, brought in recruiters for feedback, and even ran a private beta to fine-tune everything. The result is something we’re really proud of, but still improving every day.
Here’s what it does:
AI-Powered Feedback & Suggestions: It doesn’t just format your resume; it identifies problem areas and helps you refine your achievements (or suggests brand-new bullet points you might’ve missed).
Deep Analysis (24 Factors!): We look at everything from structure to relevant keywords, making sure your resume gets past those pesky ATS filters.
ATS-Friendly Templates: Every template is designed to play nicely with modern applicant tracking systems, giving you a better shot at actually getting seen.
We’re making it free for now, at least until our server bills drain the last cent from my bank account! (Kidding…mostly.) We’re also adding new features soon, like matching your resume to specific job descriptions. We’d rather get it right than rush out something half-baked, so stay tuned.
I’d love to hear your feedback, questions, or success stories. Good luck with your job search, and thanks for giving this a look!
Cheers,
