I don't think they will disarm and I doubt Israel will police anything if Hamas doesn't attack them directly.

That part isn't going to happen, it's pure hype marketed to Western audiences.

That would mean it would be military competence by Hamas that is holding back Israel. That is certainly not true.

Hamas doesn't have an air force, how could they prevent the idf from doing anything.

Tell it to the Taliban.

The taliban didn't prevent the usa from doing anything we left because we were tired of spending money.
