Automation Tools Are Overkill for 90% of People

Agreed — but I think the root cause is even earlier. Most people don’t have an automation problem yet, they have an unclear workflow. Starting with the “wrong” tool just makes that visible faster (and more expensive). Skill level + long-term cost is the right lens though.

It might ne an issue to choose which automation tools to use considering the specifics of business, from my experience, for call automation using voice AI works well, been checking https://coldi.ai/ for that purpose, works well for customer outreach.

After watching many people struggle with automation, I noticed something consistent: the problem isn’t the tools, it’s starting with the wrong one.

This article shares a simple decision framework to choose between Zapier, Make, n8n, or AI agents based on your skill level, real needs, and long-term cost — not hype or feature lists.

No promotion, no affiliates. Just the explanation I wish I had before wasting months.

Agreed

Fuck lazy cunts using ai agents. what happened to bash scripting and cron jobs.
