> Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem blamed congressional Democrats

Something traitorous about the Secretary of a Federal office blaming a political party

Its also the president's role to lead and unite to get an agenda done. They need to work with Congress to pass laws that they can then sign into law.

Trump does the complete opposite, all while vomiting garbage about anyone who doesn't directly do his bidding.

Well said. The outcome with the tariffs should be a clear indicator of the administration's complete incompetence. Unfortunately Trump's one skill is confidence games and his hardcore supporters will end up writing it off as something like "deep state" sabotage.

This utter lack of leadership being displayed so clearly in ~June of 2020 was what really soured me on Trump. Up until then I had been both sidesing and figuring that when push came to shove, he'd actually lead (and get a shoe-in second term to boot!). But no, rather than accepting Covid as a national emergency that he needed to lead us through, it was just some new backdrop to foment division over.

By automating routine screenings every time someone travels, programs like Global Entry drastically reduce DHS airport staff workload. Conversely, scrapping them increases DHS airport staff workload, spikes wait times for the public, and fuels frustration for both DHS staff and travelers. But causing such pain for both US travelers and DHS employees is likely Republicans’ goal.

this incompetent administration will harm everyone else & blame everyone else but not themselves

they do something illegal, are taken to court - lose in court - then blame the court.

I feel after a few iterations of them losing in court - they're going to start abducting / blackmailing judges and having placeholder judges who can make judgements to please them

What's ironic to me is that the Republicans have packed the highest court with their judges and still somehow don't get everything illegal action sanctioned.

Weren’t they able to purchase two Gulfstream G700’s for Ms. Noem’s use during the last shutdown? I think they could find the money if they wanted to.

Stop talking back or Mom’s gonna take away the WiFi.

Anecdotal but pre check was open on my flight rno to ord this morning...

> ICE and Customs and Border Protection personnel are continuing their paid work under $75 billion in funding approved last year under President Donald Trump’s tax cut and spending law.

If only there was budget somewhere else under DHS’ purview they could spend on TSA…
