Mobasi | Founding Engineer | Austin, TX / Remote | $240k + Profit Sharing | https://mobasi.ai

Mobasi builds autonomous AI agents for digital forensics. Our software orchestrates 150+ forensic tools to help law enforcement turn days of manual evidence analysis into minutes, aiding in cases involving child exploitation, trafficking, and homicide. We are bootstrapped, profitable, and shipping fast.

We are looking for our first hire outside the three co-founders to own infrastructure, DevOps, and compliance. You will transition our build pipeline from manual updates to an automated delivery system scaling to thousands of agencies. You will manage infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and AI providers, while owning CJIS and SOC2 compliance.

Tech Stack: Rust, TypeScript, Python, Tauri, Next.js, Docker, Pulumi, Terraform.

We work as a small SWAT team. We are AI-native and expect you to use tools like Cursor and Claude to ship significantly faster. We do not have sprints or daily standups. Instead of lottery-ticket equity, we offer a high base salary and direct profit sharing.

Hi Mobasi team,

Autonomous AI agents for forensics is a hard problem — managing tool orchestration across 150+ forensic tools while hitting CJIS compliance requirements is exactly the kind of infrastructure challenge most engineers haven't touched.

Relevant: AI Workflow API — FastAPI + ARQ + Redis workflow engine, YAML-driven, 5 node types (trigger/LLM/condition/HTTP/notify), SSE streaming, 148 tests. Similar distributed orchestration pattern to what you're building. GitHub: github.com/ChunkyTortoise/ai-workflow-api

Stack match: Python, TypeScript, Next.js, Docker, Redis — I use Claude as part of my development workflow daily and ship AI-native. Available within 1 week.

The stack you're describing (multi-cloud Terraform across AWS/GCP/Azure handling law enforcement evidence) is genuinely complex to secure from the ground up — especially with the compliance exposure that comes with CJIS-adjacent data.

One thing worth thinking about before the new hire starts: the first infra person at a bootstrapped company almost always walks into cloud credentials that are broader than needed and Terraform state that's never had a security pass. Getting a baseline done before onboarding gives them a clean starting point and avoids inheriting someone else's decisions as their first task.

Happy to talk through the infra side if useful — I work with teams at this stage on exactly this.
