Apple Details Terminal Anti-Scam Warning in macOS

> Back in March with the release of macOS Tahoe 26.4, Apple introduced a new security popup that warns Mac users when they paste a command into the Terminal app that could be harmful. Apple has now published a support document explaining why the popup warning appears.

I cringe whenever I see a command

cat ANYTHING | sh

Do people actually read that ANYTHING?

And I never paste into the terminal that I can recall.

Tip: If you need to cd to a directory in the terminal, the "normal" procedure, I suppose is to type in "cd" and then drag an icon of the desired folder into the terminal window. Unless the folder's icon is in the sidebar or otherwise visible, this involves some "wagging" of the icon in its finder toolbar, something I find annoying.

A utility that I used to use to help in this regard disappeared, but a new one showed up to take its place.

cd to.app

Once in the finder toolbar. "Click and you're there" in the terminal.
