"I made this proof myself, but the designer is someone else" is an extremely unconvincing claim to ownership.

Almost as if a proof isn’t the same as a 3d print. It’s just not a good analogy

The action came from the machine. The drive could have come from anywhere, maybe it was you maybe it was someone else. The intent seems largely irrelevant to who made it.

If I commission an artwork, the intent came from me but I sure as heck didn't make it.
