OP never claimed the online negativity was meaningless, only that you hurt yourself unnecessarily by constantly exposing yourself to it.

Your point is meaningless and implies that your choice of how to experience life offline is equally meaningless.

Well where does meaning come from? It doesn't seem to exist in nature. Some say it's something we have to create ourselves.
