My collection at the time was just shy of 3,000 entries. In the decade since, backups of the DB have more than doubled in size, so I know it’s grown appreciably.
What makes my collection an issue is that I collect hardcovers almost exclusively, not only for the larger print size and ease of handling, but also because hardcovers are more shelf stable. Let’s just say that I am planning to have stacks on rails - I think it’s called high density mobile shelving - in the basement, where a concrete foundation ought to be enough of a support.
I own about that many. Fortunately a large percentage is PDFs. Never the less I have about 200 linear feet of shelf space to hold my books in my "library" and in my home office.
> Not eventually. Quickly. The relationship between books and shelf space is not linear; it is exponential,
Are pretty AI in style: Over use. Of. Short. Sentences. - The it's not this; it's that - in a way that doesn't make sense - I mean books/meter is linear.
etc.
Not sure about the morals of using AI. I assume there really is a Bruno van Branden with 28k books?
