You can absolutely add it back using their toolbar customization tool. I added mine ages ago and it’s still present in macOS 27.

Please review the real-world use-case I laid out and then consider whether it's realistic that

1. This user even knows that the button is missing.

2. This user knows that the button would reside on the toolbar, and that the toolbar is called a "toolbar."

3. This user knows that application UIs can be customized at all, let alone to go hunting for ways to customize the toolbar.

Now remember that this user represents the majority of computer and computing-device users, who do not visit this site or sites like it.
