Do you swap out the rotors anytime there's rust on them?

If it's just surface rust, some hard braking should clean up the surface as the brake pads will remove the rust when applied.

Rotors, especially cheap ones, rust almost instantly, on any car.

You forgot suspensions.

Is that even possible in modern EVs? Without breaking critical functions like maps, etc.

That's what Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are for.

Tesla does not have CarPlay/AA support.
