Id find it difficult to believe that these companies are giving that much money in free loans to the government the way a retail worker estimating their taxes and getting a refund of a few hundred to thousand a year does.
Is this just tax breaks given to these corps at the end of very year?
Nebraska had a unexpected 86 million dollar gap in tax revenues collected last year[1] and these tax 3 tax breaks on their own account for 130% of that

Given the numbers I've seen for tax breaks for other big construction projects (malls, factories, etc), I wouldn't be surprised if the state ends up in the red on datacentres. It's not all that uncommon for the state to offset project cost 100% on the promise of job creation.
