Life tends towards 80/20 so that isn't actually as bad as it sounds. What is important is what I've seen elsewhere--what the low end of the curve looks like. Basically zero. A very fertile market for the hucksters that claim to offer answers. And when faced with an impossible problem the usual reaction is to deny it exists at all. Anyone who recognizes the problem is "depressed". Same as we saw "try harder" after the housing collapse threw a bunch of unemployment into the system. It's not like trying harder will magically make jobs appear, at best it can shuffle around who is unemployed.
I'm sorry but this seems like FUD. What do you mean "Life tends towards 80/20"? It doesn't even make sense. Are you trying to imply that through all of human history it was only the top 20% of men reproducing with 80% of women? That seems egregiously inaccurate.
"Life" as in society at large, not specifically dating. 80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers etc. It's a natural distribution, the fact that apparently it applies to the dating world also is not surprising.
It's also not enjoyable if you're in that 20% of men, as those a huge portion of those 80% of matches fully lack social, domestic, and moral skill. There's been a lot of talk about their "value" without any work or intention to develop actual "value". There's a very authoritarian dynamic behind this too, wherein those men are being harassed about their political beliefs, friendships, etc.
