Nice storytelling. I don't really like the stacked items from a UX-perspective as it's not clear how many items there are and content is hidden in this way.

Sometimes the users _are_ the problem

They're asking me to:
1) Allow them to use cookies to "operate their website"
2) Allow them to use cookies to "carry out actions I request"
3) Allow them to use cookies to "personalize my experience on this website"
4) Allow them to use cookies to "enhance my experience on this website"
5) Agree to their Privacy Policy (which I can't read unless I pre-approve this)
6) Agree to their Terms and Conditions (which I can't read unless I pre-approve this)
And I haven't seen a single character of the content they want to trade all of this for. So that's a no for me.
