I totally agree with you, and from my experience, the majority of devs, like that work more than what many here would say the role includes, like actually figuring out what the user/customer/market need and filling that demand with a product, service or process change. Most don't wanna deal with that so roles like product owner, business analysis etc are born, much to those same devs annoyance. How much value to the customer paying us did that component translation bring?

And no I don't mean chasing value as in revenue or unicorns by building more Ad/Spyware or AI hype. Actual value direct to end users who pay you for it.
