It really is very common here in Germany to get an alarm that a WW2 bomb was found somewhere near you, telling people close by to evacuate. Like every couple of months. It doesn’t even register with people, I don’t know if the news even report it.

In 2024, 182 bombs with 50kg or more were removed, 12 of which were detonated on-site.
It just became a routine.
I came across this paper last week. It was quite an interesting read, it is in german but I assume translations will work fine.
