One of the few mathematicians not fazed by all this is Doron Zeilberger, who has given his computer (which he names Salosh B Ekhad) co-author status since 1990. He is a bit of a contrarian, but a serious mathematician. He co-invented/discovered Wilf-Zeilberger pairs. Some of his opinions:

I know that some Jews (I am myself a jew) continue to be highly bothered, that it were not the Jews who discovered science, but the Greeks. I mean, for these people the Jews are the chosen people, so why had not the chosen people discovered science, instead of those despicable goyim? (and the Greeks historically have a special place here)

Zeilberger is not religious (if I recall correctly), but this opposition to "Greek" mathematics does look as somehow related to the above attitude. I am not speaking about the substance here, but about the way it is expressed.
