Seems like European would benefit more from an inherited wealth tax than an entrepreneurial wealth tax.

Europe could benefit a lot from breaking the stranglehold of old money.

Exactly this. Europe is set up to benefit hereditary wealth (see NL wealth tax that can be avoided with planning not available to middle class) and who shows as up as eurocrats.

I actually support wealth taxes (say 0.5% like Swiss) but inherited wealth is a way bigger issue than generated wealth.
