Contact lens displays are going to be the way this actually ends up working at scale.
I don't suppose these guys see the irony of replacing a goggle sized device with something that requires a forklift to move around either.
FWIW, 30 years ago most engineers in the field would say the same about a lot of our existing technology. Not to mention other fields, "seemingly impossible" things are possible today, for better or worse.
