EU is doing exactly that by denying humanitarian visas. Just look at absolute numbers of such visas.
For 90 percent of refugees from Russia if you participate in totally peaceful protest in front of Russian embassies, you will get yourself arrested, immediately deported, and will go straight to Russian jail for 10 years.
I did a quick search and what we get in example of Finland:
- 1k+ km land border with forests
- tens of thousands Russian survivors hunted by Putin crossing it
- only 186 per year granted asylum
- for everybody else any contacts with Finnish officials = deportation and jail
I think it is rather dangerous to peacefully protest in front of Russian embassies when near those embassies a lot of agents deployed to hunt Russians down and hand them down to Putin.
So do you imply that if some article does not mention them, they are not exist or what?
> applying for asylum in Finland (as only hundreds do each year).
It is exactly because any contacts with the officials = deportation and jail. Chances for getting asylum are so small that only people with additional migration opportunities or with the connections with elites in the government are trying to go that way.
Sounds pretty obvious to me, considering that they don't want to go to the Russian jails, does not have a way to cross the border legally and have the ways to cross it illegally.
> authorities in Finland are arresting people protesting outside russian embassy and deporting them.
And in your mind what is exactly happening to those people?
Sorry, in which EU countries does participation in a peaceful protest get you arrested?
In all of them? Sorry, but are you really trying to deny that there are multi-tiered justice system for illegal aliens all across EU depending on their skin color, religion beliefs, or possession of Russian passport?
