This is a fair point, and pretty much the only one that holds any merit in this weird rant. I hope we'll find a way to economically reward excellence as we move into this new era
There is CLEARY dubious shit going on. It's a grift gold rush out there akin to the crypto scene before AI swallowed it whole.
And that's just part of what was discussed in that article. Yet we've got a bunch of super suss "weak man" arguments in this thread singling out and fixating on one or two points while dismissing everything else as a "rant". Hmmmmm.
There is, but I'm just not sure what the end-game is. I'm seeing this in the GIS space too. It's like these people just want to take all the oxygen from the room, leaving no space for the legit apps built by creative thinkers.
I think that's exactly what they want.
