Just out of curiosity why not?

No ECC support on current models, dubious ECC support on previous models, thermal performance issues, crap chipsets, not enough PCIe lanes.

Uh, its only the models with builtin GPU (the G series) that lack ECC. The rest seems to support it as long as the motherboard does.
