Just in general the prestige of teslas as a luxury EV is totally shot but that’s not a new thing. It’s just irrecoverable at this point when they’re so common and plain, and anyone can pick one up for next to nothing

I’m more interested in the folks continuing to use and benefit from the products of Elon’s companies while simultaneously condemning other folks for using products from Elon’s companies.

Their defense would presumably be something along the lines of it being too expensive at that moment to sell the car and get something else. That is the price they are willing or unwilling to pay for their moral position.

He makes an entire list of how horrible Elon is as an indictment of Gruber for using X, and then explains that he is still driving his test as he had for the last nine years without even a shred of irony.

If enough people did it would crash the value of second hand teslas, which would eventually affect how much they can ask for new teslas.
