Increasingly, I describe exactly what I'm looking for to the bot (in my case, paid-for ChatGPT), in precise language, and just let it search the web and separate the wheat from the chaff for me.
After that I'm left with a few seemingly-human-written web pages that relate to what I want to find.
I don't like it, but it works. For now.

It's both amusing and frustrating that this is how Google used to work before they began filtering everything search-related through their own dumbest-of-bots. I know it's not 1998 anymore and that PageRank has been broken for a very long time and that the SEO war marches on in earnest. But it seems that the rate at which Google's search results become increasingly awful has been accelerating ~exponentially in the past few recent years.
