I'm at 33 rejections 7 ghosts in my currents job search, is getting a rejection abnormal? I haven't really ever done a high volume search like I am currently doing so I have no context.
Responding to everyone is easy even with the most shitty outdated ATS. If a company is not doing it that means they either set it up like that on purpose or someone in HR is too lazy to spend 10 minutes writing a template.
