Was looking for this yesterray... US only, English language only apparently, Google still doesn't see the point of global releases unfortunately.
I went back to check, enabled VPN and was able to set up custom MCP.
Bottom line - it's a joke of an implementation. You have to manually approve each tool use each and every time with no way to "Always allow"...
Thanks for the review, will have to use Claude to interact with MCPs from my phone I guess, it's too bad from experience in personnal projects gemini flash is great at tool calling.
Because you have an android phone and don’t want to mess around with anything else(i.e the same reason people just use internet explorer on windows) or you hold Google stock so you want to support your investment :)
They don't want anyone to use it, Google just want to show their shareholders that they're still relevant.
