Would be better to build the data centers under water than to build giant faraday cages.

Free cooling, safe from missile attack, and safe from some types of electronic spying.

Still a significantly less dumb idea than space data centers.

I imagine that you could design an underwater data center like a submarine. I.e. It could be brought to the surface for maintenance.
