If even only two people would be interested in foo.example.name and bar.example.name, they could make more of a killing with the old scheme. Apparently such interest is lacking.
The old scheme is just $20/y from both parties. The new scheme is $2000 from the one who won the auction of ”how much value do you price on keeping your established domain”
Plus all the added value from ”premium” domains such as @domain.name
And they don't do refunds if you prepaid!
How do you not prepay for a domain name?
Prepaid for more than one year, I assume, like the comment elsewhere in the thread about paying for a domain for 40 years.
That sounds illegal
Can you point us to this? If there’s a contract, they either need to adhere to the original terms until the end of the period, or they need to provide a pro-rated refund (whichever the contract stipulates).
