Clearly not, but I'm surprised it's so common to write someone off for their industry, just because said industry is evil.

They certainly wrote off your privacy online without giving much thought.

I don't see how any part of their comment ever implied that, or any evidence that the specific commenter is responsible for any of this

Why is that surprising at all?
