Cool, but not realistic. This is a prototype, if you have enough money you can build a prototype car that does just about anything. When the car starts shipping the "cool" features will be missing.

Not RCS (used a gimbaled turbofan instead), but the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Landing_Research_Vehicle) is also incredibly cool.

Only if you believe this to be representative of a road legal car. I find it easier to believe that it's a purpose-built stunt prototype, otherwise they couldn't stop talking about how clever they were solving the seemingly infinite list of engineering challenges and contradictions that make it an actual car that actual people can drive on an actual road.

What is the practical use case of having a bunch of high powered jets all around the car? It could be used to automatically avoid fatal accidents, or at least reduce risk and damage in an accident situation. I thought everybody who watched the presentation video would reach that conclusion.

You are correct in that almost nobody commenting here watched the presentation.

If the car doesn't cause fatal accidents in the first place.

you know what happens to you if a jet engine moves your car out of the way? you have the accident inside your car by yourself, you become the accident. physics states that all forces will be equal.
